Lock em up -- will we be next ?

 Bern Is it ever possible for the public to realize how pathetically incompetent the leaders of the house are? 

Sir H not if they keep offering jail terms to those who ignore or disobey them. Locking things up works and always look like a solution  to some simpletons.  

Bern   But then the jails are full, people are cancelled and thinking people have the sense that we are not seriously avoiding quick fix . 

Sir H   Very good question, If the leaders have a scapegoat for all their meddling in managing people and things (real ecomanagement is too hard much like hard work for them ), they can distract the easily distracted screen watchers .    
The thing that keeps them live is to always, when past solutions fail, is to offer the public a new way out of jail. One that doesn't involve yet another sacrifice by the audience personally.  A distraction. A cancelling.

Local government agencies are calling for 24 hour curfews for cats in the suburbs . That's equivalent of a life sentence for them. The negation of an animals whole ecosystem.  Some cats might has well die. 
I can see why we cull foreign cats in the desert where there can be nowhere for little birds to hide.
Sir H   but then you cull goats who are the only real habitat degradation problem out there ,

Bern Yes But in cities there are and can be more  shrubs trees and nesting areas for birds to look down on these desperately slow and well fed earth bounds.     

SirH  The proper husbanding solution requires hard and specific planning . The people want simple solutions and the simpler and quicker the better when the problem is " someone else's"  .

Cats , like us ,are foreigners, on the landscape. We are all easily seen as new nuisance value to leaders who like the public,  don't want to think and work hard at ecosystem planning.

Hackers are not really interested in multicultural planning - it's too much like hard work . 


Jim, like his mates are mere managers of the feeding frenzy and must offer something up for sacrifice before we, the pestilence are seen to be the bigger problem .

Bern  It makes us feel good to do something and if that something doesn't involve us, we will grab it .
